Chris Potter – The Source (Live)

This is a bootleg I recorded during Chris' 2001 CD release concert for his album Gratitude. It took place at The Knitting Factory in NYC and the band is the same as the album: Brian Blade (drums); Scott Colley (bass); Kevin Hays (piano). My apologies that this clip cuts out all but Chris' playing.

My review of our February transcription challenge. Very, very impressed with the excellent submissions on a tough challenge.

Wondering what all that “cool stuff”—the stuff that doesn’t “fit” with the chords—your modern heroes are playing is?

If you’re skipping this step, transcribing will never have the full effect on you that it could.
