Bob sensational set of lessons on the blues culminated in the chord tone Solo.

hey Marshall, if you import ‘night letter’ from Apple Music to the Amazing Slowdowner’, the organ solo is between 2:35 and 4:00. if you loop that it gives you the backing track that Bob is using in the solo example.

I am new to transcribing and I’m intimidated by the monthly transcription activities. So this week, I started transcribing this chord solo based on the blues lessons. Having worked through the preceding lessons, transcribing this solo has been something I can do successfully, which has changed my attitude about my ability to transcribe. It actually has become something fun. I never would have said that before.

Thank you for this simple and super tasteful solo over the basic blues, it allowed a dummy like me to understand what’s going on (a little bit) XD
I’m sure that without this I couldn’t understand what’s coming next.

You’re most welcome, Norma. Though you are NOT a dummy. There are so many layers to this art (jazz improvisation) we all have to get comfortable with the fact we’ll never “master” or “learn” or even “understand” all of it. And that’s not only OK, it’s part of what makes it endlessly fun, challenging, and enriching! I’m thrilled to be able to offer a step forward for you. Now we just keep growing!

I made a recording but I don’t know where to post it
Seems I have trouble from the V to the IV. Not very smooth. Nice recording a capella. No hiding there
