Who’s teaching you?

I’m Bob Reynolds. I’ve been a professional saxophonist for over 25 years, and I’ve been fortunate to share the stage and studio with artists like John Mayer and Snarky Puppy (earning 3 Grammy Awards along the way).

I’ve composed and recorded over 50 original songs and released 11 solo albums—always looking for new ways to weave the jazz language and traditions into the other music that inspires me.

I’ve taught hundreds of saxophonists at every stage—from brand new beginners to graduate students at USC, where I’m a Professor of Jazz Saxophone.

My passion is helping players cut through the noise, focus on what matters, and make steady progress toward the sound they’ve always wanted.

When I look back on the seasons of life when I grew the most, they were when I had mentors guiding me and peers inspiring me. That’s why I launched the Studio in 2010—to give my students a place where they could learn from me anytime, revisit key lessons, and share resources that I used to only be able to give in person.

Everything inside comes from what I’ve learned on the bandstand, in the practice room, and from decades of teaching. It’s the same approach I use to keep growing as a musician.

Whether you’re just starting out or have been playing for decades, what matters most is your desire to keep moving forward.
